For as long as I can remember, art has been a part of my life. My dad was an artist making art from wood, and I used to watch my sister do acrylic paintings. At age 11, I decided to see if I also shared the talent and began drawing and painting with color pencil, acrylic, and charcoal. I continued this journey through my high school years, and from there went on to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta to receive a BFA in Graphic Design.

I started my professional career working for a newspaper publication doing ad and layout design. From there, I began working for Whole Foods Market and grew within the company over a span of 10 years finishing as a Regional Graphic Designer. After which I spent 4 years doing digital design and email marketing for an eCommerce company and then went on to work in healthcare marketing at Wellstar Health System.

Being a designer is very rewarding for me because it’s an amazing feeling to bring someone’s vision to life. When I’m not working, I still enjoy painting with acrylics, drawing, and sketching. I’ve also had the joy of introducing my daughter to art, and we now enjoy drawing and creating together. It’s been special to watch her discover her own creativity and reminds me of where my own artistic journey began. Pretty much wherever there’s creativity, that’s where you’ll find me.
